Finding The Right Type Of Blusher Is Key To Stunning Beauty!

Even if people don't mind dicing with death, isn't the spooky mahogany skin colour only achieved in a tanning salon enough to put them off? Far better to play around with make-up to get the perfect, healthy glow. For most of us, it will be a few months before we are naturally sun-kissed so this is the ideal time to address a grey complexion.

Start by finding yourself a good bronzer. If you've never used one, I recommend you try. I'm new to it myself, having steered clear because it has always had 1980s connotations – and not in a cool way. Remember those stubby bronzer brushes women used to use to dab orange powder all over their faces, leaving Tango tidemarks around the jawline?

The products around now are, of course, much more sophisticated. The easiest to use are the bronzing gels and liquids that you can apply all over the face or even mix with a moisturiser or foundation. These are excellent for those who – quite understandably – don't want to take the high-risk route of a facial fake tan, which can take days to fade. Novices should use a blusher brush rather than the enormous, intimidating, bronzing brushes that are often sold alongside the powders.

For those who, like me, were not sure of the difference between bronzer and blusher, other than the colour: blusher is for the apples, or the front of your cheeks. The tones can be more pink or coral-ish, as your cheeks would look if they blushed by themselves.
